French Medieval Gardens
On a recent trip to France, our family visited the Château Fort de la Fée Mélusine in Saint-Jean-d’Angle. It was such a fun experience—they even have a costume room where visitors can dress in period attire while exploring the grounds! I was especially inspired by the medieval gardens. French medieval gardens beautifully combined utility and symbolism, often serving as enclosed spaces for food, medicine, and quiet reflection. I loved the neatly arranged beds of herbs, fruits, and vegetables, each thoughtfully planned and maintained. I hope this photo gallery brings a little of that inspiration to your own garden!
